IT 101-THE END

IT 101 is an interesting class. I have learned a copious amount of material that I did not know before, from building a website to mashups to using twitter. The most important aspect of the class however is that after taking this course you will understand not only the potential of web 2.0 but also how important it s to familiarize yourself with the web. Although you may think that you will never create another one of the tedious popfly mashups as long as you shall live it opened my eyes to the potential of technology. I never knew that so many applications existed, or were so easy to use as this class proved it to be.

Cis Presentation-Chris Penn new media.

The new media presentation was very interesting. He explained well how easy it is to broadcast yourself to the rest of the world. So many tools now exist for people to share their information with the rest of the world. Chris talked about podcasts, and their use. This was interesting to hear because i never knew podcasts were this accessible, and one can find a podcast on almost any issue. In order for one to listen to podcasts all he has to do is subscribe and the episodes automatically download to Itunes. I never knew that media was so accessible and that i could create a name for myself on the web with such ease.
